Personalised physiotherapy plan – improving your movement for life

physiotherapy

We all suffer from aches and pains in life, whether these are short term injuries caused by sport, or long-term pains blamed on age, work life, family history and so on. Did you know that many of these pains can be reduced or removed with some structured exercise and a professional assessment?

The science of physiotherapy is, like all sciences, evolving as our understanding of the human body increases. At Bridge 38 we remain at the forefront of physiotherapy practices. We provide relief from pain, improved balance and coordination, strength and stability. Enhance your quality of life with a detailed assessment and ongoing support for as long as you need it.

Can Physiotherapy help you?

Physiotherapy is the treatment of pains such as

  • Spinal Pain – including back, neck and pelvis
  • Tendon pain – such as Achilles, patella and rotator cuff (shoulder) pain
  • Arthritis and Joint Pain
  • Foot and ankle injuries
  • Wrist and hand pain

We also offer post-operative rehabilitation – we can liaise with your consultant to provide a full and comprehensive treatment package.

We use manual manipulation of your body to achieve increased movement. Techniques include massage, joint mobilisation, kinesiology tapping and so on. We focus on teaching you exercises you can easily replicate at home.

assessments

At Bridge 38 we treat every patient as an individual, not a number. Your initial assessment is thorough in order to ensure we have the best diagnosis and you fully understand your personalised rehabilitation plan.
We don’t just treat the site of the pain, we aim to diagnose the cause and any contributing factors as well.

Every assessment begins with a detailed look at the history, irritability and severity of your pain. We’ll consider your movement, body positioning and muscular ability, as well as activities, breathing and non-pathological considerations such as stress.

Once we have a diagnosis, we’ll devise a treatment plan that is personalised to your capability. Every exercise will be carefully explained and demonstrated. You’ll not only understand how to do each exercise, you’ll understand why it is benefitting you.

We know that there is a lot to take in, so we provide your exercise programme by email to help you continue with your treatment at home. You can also use our free PT Momentum App to remind you – and if you want it, to have gentle encouragement on a regular basis.

follow up appointments

As with the assessment, our follow up appointments are longer than most clinics offer. Our aim is to get you moving easier in as short a time as possible – and that means providing the best attention to every niggle in each session.

The number of follow up appointments will depend on the type of injury or pain, and your own dedication to following your treatment plan. We’ll assess your progress and adjust your plan as needed.

Initial assessment: 60 minutes
Follow up: 45 mins

pt momentum app

The PhysioTools Momentum app is a free service we offer to all clients. We understand that following a treatment plan can be difficult, but not completing each exercise regularly will delay your recovery. If you choose to, the app provides a gentle nudge on a regular basis to motivate you – helping you towards your goal.
